DB Secure Authenticator 4.9.0

The DB Secure Authenticator app enhances the security of online banking services offered by Deutsche Bank (DB). With the latest update, the app now supports biometric authentication, further strengthening the protection of customer accounts.

DB Secure Authenticator provides a reliable two-factor authentication solution for logging into accounts and authorizing transactions. Customers in Germany can also utilize the photoTAN app, available for download in the app store, for transaction signing on Deutsche Bank's Online and Mobile banking platforms.

The app offers users a variety of functions to choose from:

• Scan QR Code: Utilizing your smartphone's camera, this feature generates a numeric response code by scanning an on-screen QR code. The code can be used for logging into a DB banking application or authorizing transactions.
• Generate a One-Time Password (OTP): Upon request, the app generates a unique numeric code that can be used for logging into a DB banking application.
• Challenge/Response: When communicating with a DB customer service representative, this function allows users to enter an 8-digit number provided by the agent into the app. It generates a response code and is primarily used for customer identification via telephone.
• Authorizing transactions: If enabled, Push Notifications can be received to inform users of pending transactions. Upon opening the app, users can view transaction details and authorize them without scanning a QR code or manually entering a code into the online banking application.

App setup is straightforward:

• Access to DB Secure Authenticator can be controlled with either a 6-digit PIN that users set up during the initial launch of the app or by using the device's biometric functionalities, such as fingerprint or facial recognition.
• After setting up the PIN, users are required to activate their device. This can be accomplished by either entering a Registration ID provided or by scanning two QR codes through the online activation portal.
